Yuvan Mohan is the Chief Curator at Young ChangeMakers, an initiative by the National Youth Council, through which he has been giving youths aged 15-35 a leg up to succeed. For three years, Yuvan has faithfully attended Open Mic sessions, listening to young people pitch their community projects in areas such as sports, social well-being and education, supporting them in their efforts to secure a National Youth Fund grant. He has also galvanized a group of volunteers to guide, coach and mentor young aspirants.

In earlier years, Yuvan was also among a group of youths who came together to start “Heart-to-Heart-Talk” an initiative providing health screening and talks relating to heart ailments, in collaboration with partners. In addition he was also a project advisor for Conjunct Consulting, Southeast Asia’s first social change consultancy, which aims to engage and mobilise talent to strengthen social organisations.

Since the organisation’s inception in 2011, Conjunct Consulting has delivered 194 consulting projects with a total of 109 nonprofit organisations serving various community needs. It has created over $5 million worth of social impact.

Yuvan Mohan was nominated for the Inspiring Youth Category for the SSH Awards 2018. He was the selected winner and received award from Guest of Honour: Mr. Tharman Shanmugaratnam –Deputy Prime Minister at Shangri-La Hotel on  30th September 2018.
